The Latest With No. 1 2025 WR Dakorien Moore

The Duncanville five-star was on campus today for the Texas Relays. Duncanville's notorious 4x100m relay team walked out of the event with a first place finish after yet another sub-40 second time this morning.

Moore will return to Austin twice next month – April 6 and the spring game April 20.

The LSU commit has a final four of Oregon, Ohio State, LSU and Texas. An interesting note from speaking with Moore is the proximity to home is something that Texas has above its competition in this race. The Texas staff speaks with Moore every day as you would expect.

Texas freshman EDGE Colin Simmons swung by Mike A. Myers Stadium. He and Moore are very close and Simmons has been in his ear very often about his time on campus so far. An important factor at the moment.

Expect official visit dates to be released early April. Moore had yet to announce anything final at the moment when I spoke with him. I see Texas as that 1B team in this recruitment at the moment and depending on how the visits go in April, things could get interesting quickly for the nation's No. 1 overall WR.

Reel in momma, and you’ll land DK. The family ties too Austin, the big city lifestyle, and the brand all screams Texas IMO. Similar too Colin’s recruitment. Once Sark got Momma and the little bro on board, it was a wrap. And of course a few (truckloads) NIL dollars, let’s be honest.

Hard to see why we aren’t runaway leaders, with the perfect offense, Manning, Sark, Duncanville teammates here, NIL.

I think the offensive line, quarterbacks and Sarkisian's offense wins it for Texas in the end. Not to also mention that Austin is a heck of a lot easier to get to then Red Stick.

I will say, I can understand why he would want to be apart of that LSU class, especially offensively. If he stays there they have a real chance to have the #1 QB, #1 RB, and #1 WR in the class. That’s something I’m sure they are talking about. I think Texas can still for sure get him but I don’t think it’s going to be easy one bit.

on the other side of the coin, while Underwood is unquestionably talented, he’d be a true freshman. Assuming Moore plays as a true freshman himself, would he rather have a college ready Arch throwing to him for his first two years or an inexperienced freshman? (Assuming nussmeier is one and done this year)

I know what I would choose. Also, Denbrock left. Does that impact the offense? We know Texas won’t have that issue as long as Sark is HC.

Committed to LSU...but has a Final 4...lol

And talks to OUR coaches every day...OK

Sark really has the right idea not pushing for commits early because they're meaningless. These kids aren't committed to anything, it's just a "this is my current favorite" meaning to them. This industry should really stop using commits until the season starts of their senior year.

No prospect is committed until they sign

Go DK that's my DK go DK lol if we get this kid....talk about us being "SEC ready". Wingo, DeAndre Moore, DK, Cook, not even counting all the transfers we accumulate over that time. Aaron Butler?? idk what class he is but he could stay another year no doubt.
