  1. Might as well add dad!
  2. Billy Dale would be a great interview. He volunteered to room with Julius Whittier when Coach Royal asked seniors if they would. Julius & he remained good friends & he has written about how the team integrated. Perhaps the younger readers need to know it wasn't as simple as Julius putting on his uniform. Anyway I have always admired Billy Dale. plus he scored the winning TD in the 1970 Cotton Bowl. A plunge over the goal line. Maybe he should be a red zone advisor for the team. 😎
  3. How about a weekly roundup of all UT sports activities? We have a lot to be proud of from crew to football. It'd be kind of cool if more people knew about our success & the quality of people from coaches, players & staff. We might know crew is top echelon. Or tennis, etc. I'm not sure we appreciate the effort to get there like we do for football. Heck, I'm not sure we appreciate what our softball or baseball teams go through to become elite. CDC gets kudos, let's find out what behind his success. We win Director Cups, let's find appreciate how we do. monthly could work... I'm retired so I have time to peruse content! 🀘🏽
  4. Thank you, Hank! We moved a far cry from the 70's times. πŸ˜‚
  5. How are these different from the ones where you sit on tour OTF flights? Just curious...
  6. @CJ Vogel@Jeff Howe Really appreciate both write ups. CJ, you gave us the sketch & Jeff, you colored it. I never looked at efficiency like this. It's really a team stat. Really need a strong defense to reduce opponents plays & the offense needs to take advantage of possessions. Earlier there was a discussion about which player benefits the most from Muschamp's arrival. Indirectly, it's going to be Arch & the O by getting more possession opportunities.
  7. Love the video! Hard not to be Impressed with him & the Texas staff. Would be interested in seeing Oregon & OSU visits. Wonder if the approaches are different.
  8. Good on ya! Go live your dream! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ€˜πŸΌπŸ€˜πŸΌπŸ€˜πŸΌ
  9. A walkoff homer; now it's time to hit the links! Good night everyone in Texas. It golf time in Thailand!
  10. Appreciate the info. you've now provided the board with something to chew on & debate throughout the long, hot summer!
  11. Thanks, just imagine the yards that some 1960's players would have had, e.g.- Worster, both Koys, Sexton, Gilbert ...
  12. Needs work on his Hook 'em! πŸ˜‚πŸ€˜πŸΌ
  13. The Texas Shorthorns they played an abbreviated schedule if I recall correctly. Not sure exact year that freshmen started playing, but it was just before Earl got here. He had over 1000 yds as a fresh. Played fullback in the WB, I think.
  14. Good luck RT! We'll always appreciate your stabilizing the team during a very weird situation! Wishing you the best!
  15. Ricky Bradley, you're going way back! Keith Moreland played then. Catcher for the 73 NC. From Lufkin, his brother , Randy, was pitcher as well.
  16. I'm thrilled for him and your family! Brings moisture to this old guy/s eyes!
  17. I agree. Everyone thinks about the great running backs on the '68 & '69 teams. However, the wishbone wasn't performing Bill Bradley. Street comes in & the Horns don't lose again for any of his starts. He was also a starting pitcher on the baseball. Don't forget Bradley had a long NFL career as a safety. He was one of our last 2 way players.
  18. All these guys have talent. It comes down to that inner drive. We have multiple examples of players "growing up". For example, look at the D line draftees the last few years... Or the TE room, especially Helm. For me, the one that exemplifies this best is Jahdae Baron. Talk about having a pair, going to Huff Daddy to request #7 & then winning the Thorpe. All these guys only knew a head down, a** up work ethic. Basically saying, "I'm not just going to be a UT letterman; I want to leave my mark." At the end of 2026, we'll know who those are.
  19. Great to meet you! Welcome! 🀘🏼

  21. Impressive! 1000 career wins. Way to go Coach! Longhorn Nation loves & appreciates that you're our head baseball coach. 🀘🏽🀘🏽🀘🏽
  22. Thank Jeff! It's hard to rein in a thoroughbred.
  23. Use a VPN & choose a location like Singapore. Those pesky political ads disappear.
