“We are excited and fired up to welcome Isi Etute to our women’s basketball program here at The University of Texas,” Texas head coach Vic Schaefer said. “She brings so much to the table with her competitive spirit, toughness, and physicality, and she is a high-character young woman who is truly excited to be a Longhorn. She also comes from a strong, supportive family, and that foundation shows in the way she carries herself on and off the floor. We believe she will come in and make an immediate impact on our program because of the physical presence she plays with on the floor. Her skill set allows her to score from beyond the arc, in the mid-range, and on the block. She will be a great teammate and really puts the icing on the cake for this incredible freshman class. With her addition, this group has a chance to be one of the most impactful freshman classes in the history of The University of Texas.”

From Etute:

“I chose Texas because I see myself competing at an elite level and I want to be challenged in a highly competitive program. Most of all I have a lot of respect for Coach Vic Schaefer and his coaching style and his emphasis on defensive intensity and toughness. I truly believe he will bring out the best in me as a player.”

I think this influx of talent had an impact on the three girls who left us.

Going to miss the game experience of all three big time! All three big time recruits.
