My hot take a year ago was Manning breaks the single season passing record.

He did not.

He missed by about 700.

This will be the year he throws for 4,000 yards and sets the new single season passing record at Texas.

At first, I was going to say 3rd, but I think Texas plays 16 games this upcoming season, so I'm going to say he ends up first on this list because of that.  4000+ passing yards, 35+ TD passes, 7 or fewer INTs in 16 games.  That would be 250+ passing yards per game on average.  Sounds doable if Manning plays 16 games imo.

Wow! I didn’t realize he was that close considering the dodgy OL and growing pains Arch had early last year. I wouldn’t be surprised if he blows through 4000 yards this year.

Everything points towards that record being shattered this year.

I wear that name with pride.

On the real tho CJ I hope manning is around 3rd or 4th at the end of season and if we make it and win the natty he should be first or at least 2nd right? If we play 16 ish games

Far worse was the oblivious CFP Committee completely omitting Strength of Schedule considerations.  Do any of them or the NCAA, which regulates them, understand that concept???

He's definitely got the tools around him to make it happen.  Even the RBs will be weaponized out of the backfield.  Best WR corps in years (maybe ever, tbh).  I'm on the pro side of this one, CJ!

Does Arch Manning crack this list at the conclusion of this season? If so, any guesses on where?Top5PassingLeaders.thumb.png.02b0ea5849d9cc25bc7c3fb5168436ff.png

I'm greedy and want joe burrow level numbers.

Same, but I have a feeling that won’t be necessary if the running game looks like it did in 2023 before Jonathon Brooks got hurt.  If he has similar numbers to CJ Stroud in 2022, Justin Fields in 2019, or Fernando Mendoza in 2025, Manning will end up first on this list by a landslide.
