Riojas has been dealing with arm soreness and they've talked about getting him some rest. I hope it's just that Schloss wanted to let him face one batter on senior day before getting him out of there,

Interesting. Riojas retires the leadoff hitter on a liner to first and he's out of the game. I don't know if it's precautionary or not, but Riojas is done after facing one batter.

In theory, this game doesn't mean anything for Texas. The Longhorns are locked into a double bye in the SEC Tournament, so I'm hoping the Riojas situation is just precautionary.

Mendoza is tagged out trying to get back to second, wiping out an RBI single by Pendergrass.
