Do you think a bowling ball is not easier to make contact with than a bb, at equal speed? A straight 97 mph fastball is easier to hit than an 87 mph slider with high spin rate. Anyone who watches baseball knows this. You have more reaction time with the slider but it’s moving away from your bat during that extra time so it’s harder to hit. You cannot survive in MLB throwing nothing but straight 97 mph fastballs. You have to sacrifice reaction time for movement. You’re blending three different concepts and acting like they’re the same thing. We were talking about reaction time. Reaction time is purely distance ÷ velocity. Ball size doesn’t enter the equation unless you think circumference bends spacetime 😀 Quote
