Just read the article on ESPN explaining the supplemental draft process. Really interesting process. Essentially, a team uses a draft pick it would have had in next year’s draft if they are the highest “bidder”.  It would be surprising to see someone use a first round pick on him in this supplemental draft. Next year will likely have some good QBs in the draft. But also seems that someone can risk low draft capital and get him if they want. Sounds like, if he goes into that supplemental draft, he’s likely to get someone who will at least give up a late round pick. That’s what it seems like to me.

IF anyone decides to actually draft him, I don't see any team using more that a 5-7 round draft pick on him.

I’ll LMAO if Cody is out the entire 5-6 million. Would be awesome to see.

From The Athletic - Tech "won’t seek repayment of any amounts already paid to the quarterback through school NIL agreements. Sources familiar with Sorsby’s contract said the quarterback had already earned about $1 million through deals with Texas Tech and third-party outlets."

Of course he's being sued by Cincinnati for $1 million for breach of contract so in the end it's six seven (as the cool kids used to say} ...

So on Sunday according to Ross Dellinger's Yahoo story today, Tech officials and Board met with Sorsby. Would still back him etc. Then the devastating Big 12 lawsuit came in the middle of the night, thanks to Paxton opening that door.

Even Kessler stayed quiet all day. So Tech was still willing to triple down on Sunday. Then decided to mutually part ways  on Monday. All the bluster, making themselves a national joke. Only to cave !  Absolutely hilarious.

Ok, I think I’m going CRAZY. I’m seeing all these tech fans say that no one said Sorsby was gonna play a game for tech. Didn’t Campbell say in an interview after the ruling he thought “they were legally obligated to play Sorsby”?
