David Latiolais Posted yesterday at 12:02 AM Posted yesterday at 12:02 AM Think about this. How good will all Texas sports be next year. Football is loaded and should be one of the favorites to win the national championship. Both men and women's basketball should also makes deep run in the NCAA with the Women's should be a favorite to win a championship. Women's volleyball should easily be a top five and have a shot at winning another national championship. Women's soccer should be competing for an SEC Championship Always women's rowing competes for national championships and should next year as well Women's tennis and men's tennis are always competing for championships and should next year as well Women's beach volleyball should also be competing for a national championship In women's and men's golf are also competing for national championships every year Men's baseball with a couple of strong portal additions should also be back in the College world series Women's softball should be the favorite to win it all again next year for third straight. Don't know enough about track and field to have an opinion. Texas may have to invest in more orange lights for the tower. 3 Quote
Aspann85 Posted yesterday at 12:07 AM Posted yesterday at 12:07 AM (edited) All that and you left out the winningest team in college sports history, the men’s swim team. Such disrespect…back to back natty with our brand new coach and still can’t get a mention. Not to mention the women have been on a steady incline too back towards competing for a natty since the 80s/90s with Paul Bergen and Richard Quick as the coaches and 4 time Olympian Jill Sterkyl who just happens to also be a prominent member of the women’s sports department. LonghornFan4Ever Posted yesterday at 12:15 AM Posted yesterday at 12:15 AM Very good post. I think football ends the big three sports’ national championship drought if they beat Ohio State in week 2. Basketball has a shot at a Final Four run if they stay healthy and get a favorable draw in their bracket. Baseball can make it back to Omaha and finish the job depending on what they do in the portal. Just a fun time to follow Longhorn athletics. This is the best stretch of Longhorn athletics since the 2001-02 to 2005-06 seasons. Quote
