Leaving a NIL event at the Capitol Plaza McDonald’s for Kobe Black and Jelani McDonald where I was able to pick up an interesting nugget (not literally).

A source says the move from cornerback to safety for Kobe Black has been great.

Additionally, the source added Black has found quite the affinity towards the safety position. With it likely exceeding his time at cornerback. While still relatively new to the position, Black has already turned some heads since joining Blake Gideon’s room.

Black told me at the event that he has added some weight to his frame, but that he believes he is in the best shape of his career at Texas.

“I for sure added a little bit of weight,” Black said. “It was some good weight that I needed. But I feel more explosive, faster, stronger. But my body feels real good — better than ever.”

Did you get a pic with Grimace? Birdie?

I was so close. But the line of kids probably was more important than anything that would end up manufactured/meme'd on the board lol

No literal nuggets being shared is a disappointment CJ lol 😂

I made sure to eat before going to McDonald's today. No temptation for me!

Need to get my body right for the season.

The gap in quality between breakfast and everything else has always astounded me. I'd tear up a sausage biscuit with egg right now but the burgers taste like poison.

I could eat about 60 McGriddles a week if possible. Those bad boys are made straight from the delicious factory.

When moving from CB to safety, don’t knock it until you try it! 🤘🏼
