Califashorn75 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago ...I was in grad school during the Ricky years and would go to as many practices as I could to see the team. One of my best memories was seeing Ricky get a swing pass and run down the sidelines. He took my breath away. He was fast and muscle on muscle. Basically unstoppable. I also got to talk to coaches on a few occasions. Such great memories. Later that semester, Ricky had a class next to mine and we chopped it up a few times a week. Being as I was from L.A., we had the California experience to talk about. He was always polite! Love that dude. 4 Quote
GoHorns1 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago If I recall correctly that policy ended when Jordan Shipley injured his knee in practice and fans posted it before Mack could inform his parents first. Mack was pissed at fans. 1 Quote

Attending those practices up at Intramural Fields are some of my best memories of Texas Football. Quote
syracusehorn Posted 44 minutes ago Posted 44 minutes ago I flew down to Austin from Chicago to watch Vince's first practice. I hadn't been in my new job very long and my boss gave me all kinds of crap about it. Worth it. Quote
Assistant Regional Manager Posted 28 minutes ago Posted 28 minutes ago (edited) Some coaches like the fully open practices because it prevents those who cover the program from having to go to sourcing inside the program to get details of what is going on. The game of telephone can be a dangerous one and stuff can get lost in translation. Others hate it because they think it could give another school an advantage to know everything going on in practice. I see both sides of the argument.
