That’s insane. I’ve never seen a team get basketball scores put up on them like that before.

That district is really tough. Randle Angleton and Iowa Colony all have tons of talent.  Bottom couple of teams are really bad.  I admire the kids’ dedication who want to play, but there is an enormous talent disparity between the top and bottom of that district.

Happens a lot across the state. Too many programs, talent isn't what it once was outside of certain spots and most programs don't get good participation.

Fort Bend has so many expats/foreign workers, some of the school just don't have students interested in sport, much less football.   Dulles, Clements, Austin, etc.

I am assuming this is FB Dulles, so could be wrong school I guess.

It also doesn't help that parents with talented kids are consolidating so that their kids play with good players to enhance their spotlight.  Dulles is in Fort Bend which has Seven Lakes and the neighboring district is Katy.  It's a bit of a microcosm of NIL at the college level.  The separation between the haves and the have nots is getting bigger and bigger.

6A football and in some places 5A football is a full time job:

AM Practice 6:15-8:15, some schools go earlier, all due to the world's getting hotter

After school weights and meetings and video

You might have subvarsity/freshmen practice PM

Saturdays are for video analysis of last night, preliminary game plan on next week

Sundays are the only days off for players, staff might work from noon to dark.

No extra time for jobs or club sports or trips...requires full time commitment if you plan on starting and contributing.
