It may be hard for some of us to remember what it was like to be 20 years old. Sometimes the coaches approach different players in different ways. Will be interesting to see how TyAnthony responds in the next few days. I wouldn’t jump to conclusions on this one.
I also don’t think we are as thin at LB as people seem to think. I think (may be wrong) Muschamp’s scheme is more of a 3-4 or 3-3-5 than the 4-2-5 we ran under PK and Simmons is a LB instead of an edge in the scheme. The 3 linemen are Giffard, Kanu January or Jackson.
If that is the scheme, then there are only two LB spots up for grabs to start. And if Cryer is beating out TyAnthony, maybe TyAnthony needs to figure out where he fits and work towards that. If Spence is one of the other LBs playing time will be thn for a coverage LB whose will probably be subbed for a big nickel instead.
