I think sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith. It’s also not like safe hires have panned out either. 1 Quote

Texas tried on the first drive. After that keep, Oklahoma played for the give on every read after that. Said we will live with the run up the middle, but not risking it with Manning's legs. Worked out for them Quote
Orangeblooded Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago They did not address the OL in the portal like they should have. Robertson should not be starting C for us, Flood needs to be accountable for the OL mess. Not picking up 3rd and 2 countless times Saturday killed us. We are not physical enough upfront. 1 1 Quote

Just a matter of attempts at that point. But this goes back to I think one of the central issues which has been why is our IOL unable to get any freaking movement - we are literally in the same place we were last year. Quote

I am a little leery of coaches having success with another coach's recruits, although it is a little different now with the portal. Stein and Chesney are certainly doing much more with less, but overall, I'm not sure. Sark had his issues too (performance at Washington, not his personal issues) when he was hired, so there is always a risk. I hope we don't have to cross that bridge and Sark gets it fixed, but this was supposed to be the year, so it is very disappointing to be talking about a lot of the same issues that have plagued this team for multiple seasons. 1 Quote

Atticus Posted 7 minutes ago Posted 7 minutes ago I can't see this OL getting more physical overnight. I can't see Cam Coleman wanting to get his nose or fingernails dirty on blocks over night. I can't see Emaree Winston getting push on anyone with a pulse over night. On any given run play, it is almost guaranteed that someone is gonna blow their assignment and the play is gonna go for minimal yards. We can run the ball more, but only after making them fear our passing attack enough to pull guys out of the box. This is a team that thrives in space, not in close quarters. Quote
