Just a point of clarification, Tesla is already HQ in Austin. He's moving SpaceX and X to Texas.

Yep. X headed to Austin.

SpaceX is headed as close to Mexico as you can get without being in Mexico.

Probably just a paperwork thing, doesn't necessarily mean anyone's job is moving here.

He cut 90% of the staff when he bought Twitter and the only thing that changed was the censorship element that existed before.  Like Tesla, he will be bringing the jobs with him.  This is going to present amazing opportunities for both internships and post-grad jobs for Texas students.

Tesla is in a downward trend because he doesn’t know how to shut his mouth and not stoke fires. Also because other EV manufacturers are on the rise with more affordable and BETTER vehicles than his pieces of junk sold at premium price. He’s a fraud of the finest order. Also since his purchase of Twitter the platform has become worse in terms of bot and porn accounts. The check mark system was also a big negative influence to the platform. Find revenue elsewhere but the old check mark system should have stayed in place.

The old check mark system was an amorphous system where the Twitter mafia would randomly refuse to give certain public figures the symbol. It brought into question what the entire premise of the check mark system was. Foreseeing that there's no easy way to go about it, Musk at least provided something that is transparent and rewards those that have stake in the game ($$$).

It’s not it’s a pay for view system that he implemented. Oh and just a FYI AI bots are check marked now too and their content is getting pushed because of the check mark and how it works. It’s inherently worse system overall which makes spreading disinformation easier than ever on that platform

Reading anything, but especially social media, requires the reader to make their own judgements about how trustworthy information is. There is no simple model to stop "disinformation" because it's not obvious what is and is not disinformation.

Twitter had many demonstrated cases of yesterday's "disinformation" becoming today's facts. Examples: Hunter Biden's laptop, that the COVID vaccine is ineffective at preventing transmission, that COVID likely came from a lab in China, etc.

I say this as someone who tends to learn left. We shouldn't be outright censoring speech simply because we happen to think (in our very fallible minds) that the information is incorrect.

I'd rather have disinformation than censorship.  X is far better now than it was before Musk.

In his defense electric cars suck. So do the people that actually believe they’re better for the environment.

Musk has somehow made Twitter more of a cesspool than before.  User experience is absolutely awful.

Getting Elon invested in Texas football would be an absolute game changer.  Not sure he cares much about sports though.

I can't speak about Twitter / X but my Tesla works great and Starlink is awesome.

Awesome for the State of Texas, Austin, UT!

Amazing how much hate Elon gets when the guy is probably the most creative genius of our time and a huge supporter of truth, free speech, patriotism...

Tesla - most innovative car company and years ahead of the comp on self driving.

Space X - by far the best rocket company and delivers over 90% of the global space payload.

Starlink - delivering internet anywhere in the world.

Neuralink - still in very early stages but could be a game changer for many.

Twitter/X - he rooted out the woke virus behind the scenes there.  Yeah it still has issues but definitely my primary news source.  It will only get better and more expansive.

Open AI/Chat GPT - not involved there anymore but was one of the founders.
