4 teams, winners of the conference make it in. Any extra games can be played via inner-conference playoff. Free article

Why would those teams willingly play a tougher schedule under the new format? Every team is only acting in their best interests and will determine they are better off playing weaker schedules because it guarantees them a spot.

This is going to be detrimental to the sport. Conferences won't have champions, they'll become nothing but associations. Non-conference games will likely die for good because SOS will not be honored by the committee. And finally, we'll replace a meaningful CCG with a snooze fest of a game between team #9 and #24.

The committee will grade our schedule as if it were the 100th SOS. They don't care, wins and loss column is above all. Sark needs to treat the Ohio State game like it's his last.

Bobby + Gerry: it's time to come to your senses. This portal season is turning out to be a complete disaster.

We're going 0-fer on all of our top targets.

Last year we had concerns about only taking 1 LB in the 2025 class. You said we're fine because Bo Barnes is the future. We can't keep borrowing from our future by taking portal guys in all of perpetuity. At this rate I don't want to hear about how we can't complain about the portal success because we had the #1 class.

Guys, if Texas wants to win this year, they have to be willing to overspend. Period.
