Moderators CJ Vogel Posted February 3 Moderators Share Posted February 3 Gerry and I dove into the recruiting heat map we have seen from the Texas staff in regards to where they offer and pursue most of their targets since arriving in Austin. Really interesting trends in the state of Texas, plus a look into where the staff can create deeper inroads across the rest of the country. Texas fan in Georgia
If Texas can just get its foot in the door throughout the state of Georgia as tough as it may be then they’ll have connections in basically all the big time SEC states for recruiting. With Atlanta being as crowded as it is with talent I wonder if sark would start south of Atlanta and then work his way up or vice versa. Good video for sure definitely a good combo between Gerry and CJ !
Moderators CJ Vogel Posted February 3 Author Moderators Share Posted February 3 Interesting trend from Sarkisian to go more nationally as he gets more comfortable with his staff at Texas. One thing that is interesting is 55 offers extended in the state show me Sarkisian is never going to turn his back on the state and more importantly we talk about the immediate backyard with the CenTex schools around Austin.

Sure 55 in-state offers, but arent about half of those offers “Committable Offers” and the other half extended as a curtesy to the HS Coach/Program/Kid?
BurntOrangeHorn
All the talk about getting into Georgia made me recall Derrick Brown the Georgia RB whom Herman recruited from Buford but who could not play for Texas. Did he not stay and receive his degree from Texas? Edited February 3 by BurntOrangeHorn

Rivalrygameblock
Wished for a long time Mack Brown would take this national recruiting tact. Surreal to see Texas go into the southeast with a real pitch now that the playing field is leveled.

I’ve often wondered how many recruits Mack Brown would have lost with Texas NIL behind him… would have been extremely scary for the competition
J-Dowdy
As someone who views heat maps for work, I really enjoyed what you guys did with it tonight pertaining to recruiting. Great job CJ & Gerry. I’d rather look at recruiting heat maps than what I have to at work 1
