Ant Hill’s evolution is happening before our eyes, but he’s nowhere near the finished product as a LB. He’s already really good right now & has a ton of room for natural improvement at the position. syracusehorn Posted October 1 Share Posted October 1 Hill and Simmons, like all young players, are still learning the breadth of their respective positions, even while they can be spectacular at certain aspects. That’s when coaching, development, and scheme come into play. If we spy Hawkins, we should probably use someone who can really excel at that task without taking away Hill’s game. There are probably 5-6 guys who could do it. Coaches have to pick their scheme and put the players in the right spots. But these two young guys have to learn from the film and recognize that tactics have to change when the QB is a real run threat. Or someone else has to have responsibility for the QB run.
