Jerky Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Prolific Midland Lee championship running back. Good on them to recognize and honor Cedric Benson and his family in this way. At Texas, El Ced got about all a runner could get on every carry given his abilities. He ran with such good pad level to take on defenders but stayed balanced so he could still move one way or the other if needed. Appreciated his effort, vision, technique and toughness. I can still remember replaying his TX runs in slow motion and watching his subtle moves to slip a defender or power between two defenders to fight for the extra inches. Cedric Benson was a joy to watch. RIP. 1 Quote
