OSU loses to Oregon - Means what for Texas?

Recommended Posts

With Oregon claiming a thrilling win over Ohio State…

Will Texas stay #1?

Are any OSU recruits Texas has been tracking have a higher chance flipping? I know a 1 point loss to #3 team is not much… but just wondered if anybody thought it effected anybody

It means nothing for Texas.

Texas trashed Michigan in Ann Arbor and OU on a neutral field.  Texas remains #1 unless/until it loses a game.

If Texas wins the SEC championship game, it gets a 1-4 seed.  If it doesn't, then it doesn't.  Whatever happens in the B1G or any other conference won't change that.

Yeah, doesn't mean much for Texas except for recruits. Maybe it gives Pettijohn and Sanchez a little more to think about this week. Maybe that even gets them to go to the Georgia game. Can't remember if either of them were already on the visitor list prior to today.

Pettijohn visiting.  Sanchez not visiting.

I feel like if OSU loses to Michigan again, things will significantly change

(Especially wit the coach situation)

Michigan might have to win that game like 6-3, 13-10, 17-14 to have a chance but you never know.  Would be amazing for Texas recruiting and tank Ohio State's recruiting, that's for sure.

Texas stays at #1 this week.

Some prospects aren't interested in playing for Texas, it is what it is (Sanchez has always been for Ohio State).  Just picking up the phone and conversing with Sarkisian isn't making this a more winnable recruitment unless Devin visits Texas for a game or unofficial.
