Good game just wish they didn't give up the lead

For all we know, the lineup on the floor at the end was three walk-ons with Presley and Pryor.

Which still could have been an opportunity to see what we might be able to do with a lineup on the floor of everyone around 6'6".

Some of Tom Penders teams come to mind. Okay some were 6’7”

GH, do you have more details?  After the first scrimmage several of the players were quoted with positive comments about each other and the willingness to share the ball and defend the perimeter.  Someone remarked that the team appeared ten deep, not eight.  Perhaps that was over-exuberance.

So what do you hear this time, and are there any video clips?

Over-exuberance.

Texas has eight starter level players:
Jordan Pope
Julian Larry
Tre Johnson
Tramon Mark
Chendall Weaver
Arthur Kaluma
Jayson Kent
Kadin Shedrick

Key smaller role player:
Ze'ryk Onyema
Malik Presley

Smaller role player:
Devon Pryor

Maybe get some time as season progresses:
Jaime Vinson

You still think Presley is higher in the pecking order than Pryor?

Would have hoped for a bigger role from Pryor. Any update on Codie?

So far, yes. Presley has a more defined role early on. See how the season plays out. Pryor has improved … he has to find his role as the season … especially offensively

Codie just has to exercise patience … his years at Texas likely begins in 2025-26

Do you know if Texas is looking to add a recruit out of the country?

Pryor reclassified and was expected to redshirt last year.  He played a grand total of 25 minutes, only 14 after the season opening blow-out of Incarnate Word, and only 4 minutes in conference play.

Presley played 308 minutes last year and averaged 25 minutes a game in Vandy's last three games last year.

We have a ton of guys who can score.  Presley is supposed to be a lockdown defender.  I completely understand why he might have an edge, however slight, over Pryor for pt at this time.
