I don’t know, I would say it’s still a big deal for those of us that remember to SWC before the hogs left. Arkansas definitely hates Texas more than we do them, however the heat will get turned up again now that we play them every year it’s a fun rivalry that reminds me of a better version of Texas tech.

I get what you're saying but for me I was so young during the SWC days I didn't really pay attention to who Texas was playing. Then being from SETX when I did learn to hate a school it was aTm because of the proximity and interaction with other kids rooting for aTm. Lol I didn't really start hating ou until I was like 13-14. So in terms of rivals for me it'll always be aTm 1 and ou 2. Arkansas don't make the cut. But to those who do see Arkansas as a rival, if that's how they feel I'm fine with it for them. Just not for me.

I’ve been waiting a long time for this game. Born in TX, but moved here when I was 5 years old in 06’ and I’ve been made fun of for being a Horns fan ever since. Our loss to them in 2014 and 2021 killed me. I have a DEEP and STRONG hatred for the hogs. I can’t stand them. This needs to be a blowout or I won’t be satisfied lol.

Where in Arkansas do you live?! I have family all over the state. They can make fun all they want but the overall results are pretty overwhelming lol.

Cool video, Matt Jones was a freak in that 03 game... Also, what in the WORLD were those Arkansas uniforms!

 

For me personally Arky is apart of two Texas games that are right up there with the worst of any game that occurred during the "Lost Decade" that is the Tyrone Swoopes Texas Bowl (2015)? and the Sark loss in Fayetville (2021). I think Sark takes the game this weekend personally and runs up the score, having them at 11AM is huge. That place was going bezerk in 21.
