VFL TX-EX Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Tennessee insiders are suggesting that Cam Seldon will be entering the transfer portal at end of the season. Would Texas be interested? Quote
uthorn1374 Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 (edited) Would Ollie Gordon II return to college for one more season? The running back class is stacked in 2025. Would love to see him in burnt orange. Edited November 12, 2024 by uthorn1374 1 1 1 Quote

Travis Richard Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Blue, Wisner, and Gibson all more likely to be back next season than not (Blue would really have to go off this final home stretch to increase his draft stock). Baxter added back into the mix at some point in the offseason. Same with Clark but would assume he’s going to need next year as a developmental year so probably doesn’t get included in the count for game ready bodies. Simon and Stewart coming in as early enrollees. Don’t think bringing in an RB1 caliber player would be on the list of offseason priorities especially with the price tag someone like Gordon would command. 1 Quote

rgvhorn80 Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Texas needs a big back with power and speed. Someone who can wear down a defense. 3 Quote
BarnHorn Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Jeanty has a year left and went to Frisco 🙂 2 Quote

SpaceCityWrangler Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 I would be all over Makhi Hughes at Tulane. 1 Quote

John F. Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 To me the RB in portal question (in general not player specific) depends on several things. 1. Severity of injuries. When will Baxter be back? If not in time for fall camp, time to go big time RB hunting. If he’s back sooner maybe add depth. What about Clark? Got the idea his injury was worse. If so, again need to look for depth. 2. How is Gibson progressing? Can he play a larger role next year, improve in pass pro and ball security? 3. Does Blue stay? This is much less important to me because he’s more of a RB/WR hybrid and even if he stays it doesn’t greatly help RB depth. And as always with the portal, if a big time dude falls in your lap and he’s a fit, just take him, regardless. Quote
Joe Naural Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 (edited) Last weeks florida 230lb fresh rb …that kid would be gameday starter now! id take him over Baxter….havin both would be ideal! if Texas had that rb this yr……i truly believe we prob lose to Georgia……(we had to,,, to get better qb..oL)…….yet for playoff run , it all comes togethere Our OLine w that rb would be nasty….our playaction nfl like to defense….. Sark got it…….. truly we are blessed w his vision… he is playin the cards dealt Im thinkin Terry gets on field immediately as Big rb….then to hback Edited November 12, 2024 by Joe Naural Quote
f1revo Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 We definitely need an inside zone workhorse. One and done guy to give Baxter and Clark the time they need. Quote
horns96 Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 We'll be really lucky to have Baxter and Clark practicing next fall. Neither had run-of-the-mill injuries from everything we've heard? I can't imagine Sark won't take the same approach to RB that he did with WRs the last off-season. 1 Quote
