Hank Kingsley
We're gonna lose multiple guys to the portal every year. Consider it a good sign when it's players like Bledsoe, who was passed up and is looking for PT somewhere else. I wish him all the best.

Feeling like he was deserving of playing time based on his skill level, but not mentally handling the adversity properly. Which I fully understand as I've dealt with that since I left the military and jobs over the past 14+ years. I have dealt with the same issues. I did not have the character and will that it takes when I was 19 years old. That is why when a guy like Kelvin Banks or Tre Wisner comes along I really respect and appreciate them. I wish J Cook and J Bledsoe well. I hope they don't wake up in 30 years wishing they had stuck it out at Texas. Greatness is hard.

The earlier he declares, the better he can maximize his options. This is what happens at programs that recruit and perform really well. Not all the high potential/high ranked guys are gonna pan out. Declaring today vs Sunday will make no difference period. The portal doesn't officially open until Monday anyway. He is not a hot commodity in the portal btw. Will just agree to disagree on the timing.

Longhorn DL Jaray Bledsoe is expected to test the waters of college football free agency, 247Sports' Matt Zenitz the first to report. Bledsoe saw time in three games this season, accumulating 16 snaps for the Longhorns in 2024. Ain't no testing in Sark's Portal. One foot in and you are gone. He wasn’t on the travel squad anyway.

I think neither of those had an exit interview. Perhaps they are talking to Bledsoe? Baker will say yea or nay.

Because the Championship game allows 85 players not 70 to travel. Just thought he would have made this trip ,then do what you have to do afterward. No biggie in the grand scheme of things, but just one less possible distraction. Who knows but still wish him the best.
