817 Boxing B
Watched Lincoln do a short media scrum and guys, I can tell you he had the look of a guy who has eyes on the NFL. It doesn't look like the donors want to keep forking over big time money for 8-4 and 6-6. That profit sharing money only goes so far. The NIL will cover the big money guys, and as you can see, all of the 5 stars have left Lincoln within the last two years. He also touched on things changing from what it was when he came. Sounds like a guy who is waiting on Bloody Monday in the NFL. Could the Bears be dumb enough to make him head coach...? Probably more likely he's the Bears OC next year. Thoughts...? Oh.. and OU still sucks.. Mateer.. or MA dear... makes no nevermind!!π€πΏπ€πΏπ€πΏ 3
Glass Joe
If there is any way that Riley can muster just enough from his USC team to beat aggy in the Las Vegas Bowl, than he can go wherever heβd like after that. 3
Dustin Wells
Bears OC fits, their QB is his guy. Methinks Riley will look to avoid pulling a Kingsbury by jumping from College HC to NFL HC plus the Bears HC is a death sentence for your HC prospects due to the Lovie Smith curse anyway. Quinncent McManning, Jr.
Definitely a roster to keep an eye on if he does bolt.
jkates
I'm not sure the timing is right for a bolt. He signed a 10 year, $110 million contract. No reason to leave just yet.Β 3

Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted Thursday at 07:01 PM Moderators Share Posted Thursday at 07:01 PM I don't necessarily disagree that his timing would be right to get out now ... but I don't know if he's a realistic HC hire right now... I tend to say no, but could be wrong.Β
HenryJames
Yeah, feels like he missed his window to be an NFL head coach.
whereiend
Would be really dumb for an NFL team to match that $110M contract and it would be really dumb for Riley to forego that money to go be an NFL OC. Riley as an NFL HC would be a bad hire, but even if it happened you aren't giving him a 10 year contract. It's an awkward situation but until USC pulls an A&M (with Jimbo) it is what it is for both parties. I used to think the same thing, but the Jimbo buyout, Kingsbury's rapid assention to NFL HC, and Riley bolting to USC from Oklahoma in the middle of the night has me thinking the door is just open just enough for anything to happen. Plus Riley ran to the PAC12 to avoid the move to SEC competition, but luck would have it Riley ended up in the BIG10 without an easy schedule to the CFP. Methinks if he runs it is from competition to a friendly NFL OC position rather than to money or difficulty.

NFL isnβt paying Riley 10 million year. Kingsbury got canned in three years. Riley isnβt going anywhere voluntarily.

Riley was rebuffed by Castiglione when Riley asked for additional funds for staff and facilities to compete in the SEC.Β Do not believe the Methlahoma troll narratives. When SC offered Riley carte Blanche to rebuild SC, it was a no brainer for him to go there.Β The problems at BlowU do not originate with Riley nor Vegetables.Β They start at the top with Castiglione.
