817 Boxing B Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Listen.. is it me, or is Zachariah not signing with anybody a big signal as to his interest on playing for one of these playoff teams? That leaves us, Georgia and maybe Oregon as possible landing spots, unless Arizona St does the unthinkable. Regardless, he would be dynamite in the icy whites, imo. Thoughts? 1 Quote
Bunk Moreland Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 According to Matt Zenitz, it seemed like it had become a two-team race between UGA and ASU. In the last few days, the Branch brothers have become more open to visiting other schools and that three teams with some smoke behind the scenes are UNC, Texas, and Tennessee. I’m guessing that means they didn’t get the kind of NIL offer they had been hoping for from UGA/ASU? 1 Quote

ASU probably couldn't pony up that type of money and Georgia probably wouldn't, and there's not much of a chance of his brother seeing the field there, imo. UNC wouldn't be the spot, too west coast to go from Lincoln Riley to Bill Belichek if you ask me. Tennessee has opportunities for Zach, maybe not so much his brother, and is it a better bet that Nico progresses or Arch? Josh Heupels' offense compared to Sark? Why would Squirrel White and Mike Matthews leave if that was the spot for him to be featured? The only issue with Texas is that his brother isn't beating out any safety we have that won't transfer after the season ends. So... the million dollar question is still... where do they go??! Quote
whereiend Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Feels like the NIL demands of these two were not reasonable. The WR has 800 yards and 3 TDs over two years... The DB probably won't see the field here. I get that there is a level of untapped potential here but personally I'm not allocating especially significant NIL resources to these two. Of course I'm sure they eventually will accept the market reality, in which case they could definitely help our team. 1 Quote
Bobby Burton Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Texas is involved. Beyond that, let’s see how this plays out. If Texas wins this game, the time for recruits to visit is this coming weekend. Seriously doubt Texas brings in recruits during the middle of next week otherwise. 4 Quote
