Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted Friday at 08:37 PM Moderators Share Posted Friday at 08:37 PM A big new and key recruiting rule for the 2026 class and beyond In the last cycle, head coaches and assistant coaches could meet at high schools with prospects and families in the 2025 cycle in January. In the 2026 class, the next step has been taken. Head coaches and assistants can now make true in-home visits at the residence of prospects in the month of January. That means following the conclusion of the season, the Texas staff will be going in-home with 2026 prospects that Texas deems top targets.
Quinncent McManning, Jr.
I feel bad for the coaches. They’ve worked their tails off this season. Have to deal with signing day and the portal open and close during a playoff run, and then finish a final 4 run… and now have to schmooze with 16 and 17 year olds at home on top of junior days before even getting a break. No wonder Saban retired. Edited Friday at 08:49 PM by Quinncent McManning, Jr. 12
John Moore
This seems to put schools that advance in the playoffs at a disadvantage, again. 6

Not untrue but certainly takes a special category of head coach that has to deal with this stuff. Can see why some just want to go to the nfl.
