goattalk100 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 I think this would be a great take. I think Baker & Becton would develop him into an impact player. He definitely fits the mold of a SEC DT. Seems like he could be on an Alfred Collins type career trajectory. Quote

texcoyote15 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 I haven’t watched his tape yet but with his size he could take the Bill Norton snaps. Norton was a good pickup Quote

We still have to replace the explosiveness and production of Collins and Broughton, though. Hopefully Justus Terry can provide some of that. 5 Quote
cdibbs Posted January 4 Posted January 4 He and Brevard would be two great depth pieces. I'd love Texas to land one high-level difference maker in addition to those two. Do that with the freshmen coming in, and I think we are in a great spot. 3 Quote
NothinButDaHorns34 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 The people on here hyperventilating over portal defensive tackles committing elsewhere haven’t learned ANYTHING about this staff in the last two years of playoff appearances 1 2 Quote

They don't understand how Sark operates portal wise and recruiting wise as well. He always has a plan. Quote

Yea it was reported on the UNC side that he had turned the corner towards the end of his junior year so an offseason in our program under those guys could lead to a breakout senior season, a la Collins. Need closer to 250 snaps each in a 16-17 game season. Want to play 16 games minimum orv17 games maximum each year Quote

A 16-17 game season will 1100-1300 snaps divided between rotation of 5-6 would be 200-240 snaps per player 2 Quote

There might be a couple every year. Expecting that for any of the 3 much less all of them is a lot to ask. How many snaps did January play so far? we need 3 more DTs in the portal. Whatever we get from the fr is a bonus, especially with injuries. Quote

Not sure anyone has made a firm decision yet(other than Banks, Cam, Quinn, Bond types). Edited January 5 by TheContractor12 Quote

Probably wouldn’t play next year or he wouldn’t hit the portal. Why would you replace that guy with another guy that won’t play? That makes zero sense. Texas wants impact guys out of the portal, not backups 1 Quote
