Jbro52
I would have liked to see Sam play his last year under Sark but it’s still Quinn hands down

Or the bama game last year, or the record setting big 12 championship game? How about the Michigan game? Look we get, it you don't like Quinn. But talk to anyone that actually matters, players, coaches and the NFL. It's Quinn. We have to quit acting like the shortcomings of this team fall directly on Quinn. Friday night Sark along with his bone headed play calling, the offensive line didn't help him or the running backs out. 🤘 I love Quinn. I just typed that neither QB should be run down and they are both great Longhorn QBs. That didn't stop you from not comprehending and being a dick though. hookemig
Not into hypotheticals. Quinn wasn’t perfect, but it’s hard to argue that he didn’t benefit the program in a large way while he was on The Forty. Ultimately, I am thankful and proud we had both wearing the burnt orange! They too were proud to nth degree to wear Texas on their chests!
Deadhead_Horn
Almost impossible to answer this question. Sam was who he was because he had to be within the offense. Quinn was not asked to do as much because of the talent around him. Not sure Sam was accurate enough to sit in the pocket and throw darts like Quinn did. TexasUnion
Are we the only fanbase that does this? Bret Stafford or Todd Dodge, Shea or James Brown, Major or Simms, Quinn or Arch and now the hypothetical Sam or Quinn...and then people pick sides and dig in? I don't think OP meant it this way, but it always turns into tearing one down. I love each of them because they are all Longhorns and am proud we had them all. Hook Em! 🤘

Rillo HOOK EM
Sam was great, but give me Quinn. I’m amazed how little he’s appreciated. He’s far from perfect but he’s led us out of the darkness.
whereiend
Sam in 2019 in a Tom Herman offense with one decent receiver: 13 games, 3663 yards, 32 TD 10 Int 8.1 yards/attempt. Quinn in a Sark offense: 14 games, 3472 yards, 31 TD 12 int 7.8 yards/attempt. Where does this "Quinn and it's not close" narrative come from? As passers only it is extremely close. And then Sam is also a weapon with his legs (almost 2k career rushing yards and 33 TDs)... I'm sorry but I think Sam is the clear choice here. That's not disrespecting Quinn, it is respecting how good Sam was. Edited January 13 by whereiend
Philip Barber
Sam would have backed up Quinn. He probably would have played fullback or H-back. At Tuscaloosa last year, Sam or Quinn? At Ann Arbor, Sam or Quinn? Big 12 championship, Sam or Quinn? Quinn won. Sam lost. Playoffs, Sam or Quinn? Quinn played in two. Sam zero. Sam lost to OU four times. Sam would never had has at the one yard line. However, I appreciate Sam and his time here on the forty, but give me Quinn.
