Some people in this group need reflection.

Not every player who leaves Texas is "bad" not every player on Texas is "good"

tired of hearing glaze for people that get remotely brought up to Texas and they are amazing but a kid gets kicked off or transfers and he's a devil.

THIS kid is lost. It's pretty obvious he doesn't have anyone in his life looking out for him and he is without direction. I am not covering for his action's. He needs to face them, but trashtalking a former Horn THAT EVERYONE LOVED WHEN HE COMMITTED for making bad choices is wrong and just flat out weird.

100% agree. But I think where some of this is coming from (at least for him) is that he was publicly bashing the team and players and playing victim almost.

He has both parents involved both of whom seem to think he does no wrong . That’s evident by his Twitter if you pay attention. Not to mention the guy fighting a player in the locker room and then trashing Deandre Moore all over social media. This guy is heading towards the AB route without ever making it to the league.  People were on board with agyie hall when he initially transferred. You see how he’s turned out. Johntay is just following the same path.

The fact you follow his twitter and draw parental conclusions is crazy. Thank goodness your house and life is in perfect order.

He didn’t work out at Texas. He made poor choices as he left. Why is it so personal to YOU? Y’all react like he betrayed yall. He’s a kid and many healthy adults made very dumb and regrettable decisions as teens.

Move on. What does it a say about those that revel in someone’s downfall?  Karma? Comes around goes around? Those are literally used in elementary as kids find their feelings. Grown folks are using that here? Cmon…

Focus on those on the team and only on the field. For the most part, off the field is no one’s business.

Buddy he trends with the bs he does. I rooted for the guy. Actually predicted him to be Texas leading reciever this past year. Nobody is reveling in his downfall. But let’s not act like the kid hasn’t been blessed with the opportunities he had only to completely drop the ball. Pun intended

This is all very sad. On3 reporting that he was only on campus for 2 days when he was dismissed. People keep making AB comparisons but my fear is that he goes down the Maurice Clarett or Lawrence Phillips road which would be a real tragedy. I just don’t think he has the support to avoid really bad decisions.

Never understood why we get joy out of somebody struggling. Texas saw something good in this kid when they signed him. From his lack of playing time, his comments on Quinn, to where he literally is right now is tragic. Nobody wants him. He’s clearly on a downhill path to nowhere. That’s so sad to me. This guy is still a kid. When I see players like this, to me, he is searching for his identity. He seems like someone who has always gotten by on his talent alone. Talent is no longer letting him act the way he acts. Which forces him to finally ask “who am I if I am not a football player?” Remember he didn’t get kicked off the team. I would imagine Texas kept him on the team to try and prevent what is happening now. He has nobody to go to. All you can do is pray for him.

Which is what somebody lacking maturity does.

Your first sentence is exactly why we are seeing this.

Great empathy. Very ag like. Dude is spiraling and hopefully gets help. A life is more important than entertaining y’all.

This.  We are watching him waste his talent and blessings.  Hope the kid figures it out before it's too late.

Buddy, you’re not required to click on it and then run to a board and comment on it.

And, you didn’t root for the guy. You rooted for a receiver at UT. If you rooted for the guy, you’d have different lenses and perspectives.

done with this 🤘🏽

who cares can we get rid of this topic.  he is gone.  he needed to be gone.  kid has issues but they aren't our problem.  lets focus on us and improving short yard running and getting speed wrs and a TE that can catch and block and more DTs to create depth.    and for goodness sake lets recruit a Kicker ASAP.

Lol I was a knucklehead when I went into the military. Everything came easy to me from grades to success on the feild. Then I tore my knee up and didn't have those opportunities that I was had. So at this point I'm angry and from every movie I seen the military is where I can get that anger out with little or no consequences. I fought my platoon so much in basic everyone avoided me, it wasn't until I challenged the biggest drill sergeant and oh boy did he give me the come to Jesus moment I needed. Later on in my career we ended up in the same battalion. Now I'm E-6(P) waiting on Congress for E-7 and he's already E-7. He laughed and said I knew for sure you'd be kicked out, and asked what changed. I told him that him kicking my a**, earning my respect, and building trust in something and someone. I'm not interested as much in the what as I am in the why. There's some deep seeded issues there Cook has to face. At 20 I was already a squad leader and responsible for others. Johntay has to learn he can't do it alone and it's bigger than him before he can start to self correct.
