Maybe it wasn't his decision to fire Beard. Maybe he was pushed into hiring Terry. Doesn't matter in the end. Two big mistakes. FACT: CDC knows basketball and he personally prefers to watch the sport of basketball over all other sports. Rodney Terry was way down the list of candidates. 4 Quote

Once that mugshot was released to the public it was over. Opposing fans were gonna have that mugshot at every arena Texas visited for a long time. He would’ve never heard the end of it. But because he’s at lil ol Mississippi people don’t give a darn about him anymore. Edited 3 hours ago by qaertyisthatdude Quote

Every school in the country is working on getting better and trying to win games but every single one of them have one eye peeled on what Texas is doing…..in every sport. You’re right, once that picture in the jumpsuit came out it was over. Most places would have kept him, but CDC didn’t want the negative publicity that was going to go with keeping him. 1 1 1 Quote

They do Horns Down at sporting events that don’t directly involve Texas. They don’t say Hotty Toddy at non Mississippi games. 1 Quote

The University of Texas had just fought a long PR battle over the Eyes of Texas and the dust had finally settled between all the parties involved. IMO this played a factor in Terry being named HC. The only reason? no. A factor in the decision? yes. The blowback had they gone a different direction wasn't worth it. 1 Quote

The bar for being a head coach at Texas is to not put yourself in a position where you could possibly be arrested the morning of a game. Is that asking for too much? Congrats to him that the fiancé didn’t want to cooperate which forced the charges to be dropped. Edited 3 hours ago by Assistant Regional Manager 1 1 Quote
