Quinn is showing next level arm talent, the only other person in the same conversation with him right now is Jaxon Dart,

Quinn and Dart the clear 3/4 qbs after Cam and Shedeur. Mel is on crack if he still has Quinn as 9 😂

howard and gabriel looked bad, not a good session from them.

Then you put on his film. Everyone expects him to throw well vs air and no rush.

The issue is that you can say the part about film for most of this QB class. Dart didn't show any ability to throw with anticipation or be a good decision-maker when the first read wasn't schemed open. Howard didn't showcase elite arm talent, despite his obvious propensity to go through reads. Milroe doesn't do a good job understanding underneath coverage or playing on time.

When that's the case, the combine and throwing drills can be valuable.

No QBs come closer to his 90% sack rate once eyes come down. He’s the highest turnover worthy play rate of all QBs at the combine. His pocket work presence and once he comes off the first read is abysmal. Objectively his film does not match vs air. He can’t consistently do in games how he does vs air.

Sure, but you can point out other issues with every other QB. Dart comes from a super scheme-friendly system; he's a terrible decision-maker when the first read isn't open, and he's not as accurate as you'd like for a QB that is so scheme-reliant. He doesn't showcase an ability to process beyond pre-snap reads; he's not great with anticipation or touch.

I can do something similar with Shough, Gabriel, Howard, McCord, and everyone else. None of these guys have elite tape. Atleast with Ewers, the stuff in t-shirts and shorts looks nice.

I thought it was overall a very solid showing for Ewers. He and Dart were clearly the two best quarterbacks in this session and Ewers was on point. This was a setting he should do well in and he delivered.

Mel Kiper has always been an idiot. His last mock had ONE Longhorn in the first round and I think it was Banks at like 28 or some crap. I adamantly believe that Kiper doesn’t actually watch these players. I think he uses name recognition and then a dart board to pick. So many better mocks out there. Not sure why he is still paraded around like an expert. I bet a casual college/nfl fan could piece together a better mock…

Totally agree! Hate that people still act like he has any credibility at this point 😂

Willams 3rd or later — he lacks athleticism and his film is bad

Helm 5th or later — mediocre blocker and lacks athleticism

Bond being .2 slower than Worthy is comical after all that noise he talked about breaking the record.

Haha yeah! We wasn’t even the fastest on the day let alone coming close to Worthy’s record. It is too bad he didn’t run better but he can still be a solid wr in the NFL, just not a first rounder like we thought he would be after the first 5 games of the season!
