Big East schools don't make big football $, so none of them should be able to spend 8 figures without going way over the % cap. Last Big East basketball TV deal was for $80 million a year for the conference, which has 11 members. Not getting anyone past the round of 32 won't help either. Of course, the Big East is not a defendant in the case, so it would have to opt in, and I haven't heard that it has. 1 1 Quote

Beard was given all the resources to be elite...and I have all the confidence in the world that Miller will also. Our long term interim coach didn't get the same respect, nor should he have. His record was sub-par in ALL stops prior for a program with UT type status and money. 1 Quote

Kind of crazy how UCONN was before 1999....and I look at them as something Texas should strive for in basketball. Your run always has to start somewhere and I think with Texas resources and this era once we get our first we could eventually rip off some titles over the course of the next decade or two. UCONN before 1st title: E8 - 1964, 1990, 1995, 1998 S16 - 1951, 1956, 1964, 1976, 1990, 1991, 1994, 1995, 1996*, 1998, Texas FF - 1943, 1947, 2003 E8 - 1939, 1943, 1947, 1990, 2003, 2006, 2008, 2023 S16 - 1960, 1963, 1972, 1990, 1997, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2023 Kind of crazy how they look when you put perspective.
