Moderators Jeff Howe Posted Thursday at 03:34 PM Moderators Posted Thursday at 03:34 PM I was reminded of this recently and felt compelled to share. ESPN ran this montage as the close to the Dec. 31, 1999 SportsCenter. 5 1 Quote

Graduated from UT in '76 and '78. College football is my favorite sport and I wish the 4th down pass from Street to Peschel in December '69 had been included. Growing up in the 1960s I loved Muhammad Ali and Howard Cosell. There was nothing like the anticipation in the arena of a heavyweight boxing match. Shame what's become of boxing. And it's a shame what's happened to ESPN after it peaked in the 1990s IMO. Hook 'Em! .. 2 Quote

Trivia: who passed the ball to Jerome Lane to get the assist on that famous dunk? Quote
Tuco Ramirez Posted Thursday at 11:00 PM Posted Thursday at 11:00 PM Thanks Jeff! I had not seen that before. Awesome. Quote

bierce Posted yesterday at 02:55 AM Posted yesterday at 02:55 AM That was a really moving clip. But the best thing ESPN did was hire Keith Olbermann to really put entertainment into the "Entertainment and Sports Programming Network." The punchline is that he hated being a sportscaster. 1 Quote
Dallas90 Posted yesterday at 03:15 AM Posted yesterday at 03:15 AM It's only the second best thing they did, the best thing they did was to fire Olbermann 😀 1 Quote
