On track to be a three year starter (2026-28). Freshman OT Nick Brooks is well ahead of where Texas thought he would be. “Going to be a stud”. Those in Moncrief are very high on him … at tackle. Interesting see how Brooks and Fasusi’s careers turnout Quote

In state … would probably be DL Jaimeon Winfield if I had to say one As much as I like the in-state OT’s, there are multiple paths to having a terrific OL class and really good players/prospects There is one DL that I believe can be a different level dude 3 Quote

Thanos72 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Why does Gerry write anything? Taking some 2nd snaps doesn’t mean the others are 1st. On track, not arrived or ready, for 2026. Our consistent mental giants: I don't like Hutson Why wait, start him this year Kudos to Gerry for always replying patiently and professionally. 2 Quote

The Brooks/Cruz updates are great but we’re going to need Neto this year. This is great to hear. If Neto/Hutson/DJ can get it together the 2025 run game could look very different than 2024 Quote
Glass Joe Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago @Gerry Hamilton does the unexpected early emergence of Nick Brooks as a guy on the two-deep at Offensive Tackle this season, change the number of the OTs Texas may take in the 2027 recruiting cycle? Goosby, B.Baker, N.Brooks, A.Cojoe sounds like a top 4 OTs, and all 4 players have 2-4 more seasons of eligibility (unless they leave early for the NFL)? Maybe we need only 2 true OTs in the 2026 cycle, and also considering how loaded the in-state 2027 class appears to be at Offensive Tackle? 1 Quote
