Thanks for posting that.

# 6 QB in that class was Jaden Rashada, who accepted a supposed $9 million deal with Miami, backed out when Florida offered $13.5 million (there are copies of that contract on the internet, it was real), showed up on campus as an early enrollee only to learn the boosters couldn't raise the money.

He got a release from Florida and ended up at Arizona State (not much NIL money in the desert but his dad had played here).  Played OK but not worth big bucks, entered portal again when ASU took Sam Leavitt and is now at Georgia.

With the unlimited transfers and NIL bucks being tossed around there are a lot of interesting career paths for today's QBs.  A lot of them are making poor choices chasing the $$ and playing time.

I’m going to laugh if Georgia brings Sam Leavitt in.

Nico to Tech? Big12 is winnable by almost any of them.

Not that Tech wouldn’t love the publicity, but is Nico really an upgrade over Behren Morton?  Morton isn’t great, but he’s a solid veteran who has gone through the offseason and Spring with Tech’s newly-hired OC.  Nico has already demonstrated he’s a pretty average passing QB who is challenged by learning basic passing concepts.

Tech may be an interesting case study of the money guys wanting one QB, while the coach may want his guy.  Should be fun to watch this Nico saga.

Milroe is unironically a better QB and athlete

He should be a better qb at this point. He's a 5th year player while Nico really was in his 2nd year starting. Nico qb'd a playoff team.... with not a great system for qb's, or great O line play. Recievers weren't all that hot either. Yeah, the tactics are questionable.. but that's who you signed.. and that's the premise you signed him on, tryna flex like Tennessee was BIG NIL DADDY.... 🤷🏿‍♂️#FAFO

That team was carried by their run game. And defense. Nico isn’t good. Stop trying to make it seem like he carried that team

The backup was better, I guess, and could've stood back there and did what Nico did... right? This has been going on since December. So Tennessee definitely thought well enough of him to attempt to negotiate since then to try and keep him. What you are ignoring is the economic element in Tennessee. Maybe some of the boosters are hurting with the current "climate" and don't see fit to fork it over. Nebraska, as a state, is looking at a federal bail out in the next 6 months, having deported 70% of their farming workforce. NIL at the university will be affected. It's going to happen all over the country.. just as kids wanting to renegotiate contracts every year if they have the ability to do so. You would.. if you could!

This is such a stupid statement. In no way is Nico’s production on the field worth anywhere near what him and his buddies are asking. He is not a premium player at all. He’s basically a carton of milk with 2 days left to drink it to your point…. If I have the best milk with a shelf stable life on it that I know I can sell at a higher rate is one thing, but Nico certainly isn’t that.

You probably aren't worth what you get paid at your job, but we don't get to go over your work with a fine tooth comb.. and we definitely didn't get a look into who you were at 18, 19 and 20 years old. Of course, you were the bees knees... a model of consistency. 😞🤦🏿‍♂️🤘🏿🫡

When you break down his passing touchdowns it's crazy!

image.png.c257611a813001a858b4af5fc48572d0.png

His multiple touchdown games

Vandy(7-6) 4
UTEP(3-9) 4
Miss St(2-10) 2
NC St(6-7) 2

12 of his touchdowns came vs teams that are a total of 18-32

Now.. was that more Nico... or what was around Nico. Is it scheme? Did the offense really line up with his talents... or did the 8 milly do the trick? If it was the money.. on both sides, then you get what you pay for... and you know... what he plays for!! He wasnt leaving the sun and diversity of the west coast for good ol fashioned, Bible thumping Vol land for "the love and traditions of college football" and the "opportunity to become a RockyTop legend"...🤣🤣🤣🤦🏿‍♂️

If Milwee ever decides to hang em up, you should have your resume ready.... didn't know we had qb coaches in the community. 🤘🏿

He can't go to a school in conference per SEC rules, right?

This baffles me as well. He could transfer but would have to sit out a season. I can’t imagine Alabama will pay $4-6 million for a bench warmer, and I can’t believe Nico would want to sit out a year.

Dylan Sampson and the defense carried them.

Alabama also has 5 star freshmen Keelon Russell who is competing for the starting job. I don’t see Nico going there. I would hope his agent already had a deal in place for him that’s better than his current deal. If he didn’t he should get fired asap.

Nico was the 6th best ranked QB in the SEC on alot of list. Really interested to see what Tennessee does next. What happens if Heupel goes 7 - 5 next season. I know Nico didn't put up eye popping stats, but the threat of his legs and him connecting on long passes down the field helped open up the running game for the Vols.
