Benton (La.) QB Malachi Zeigler to Visit Texas 

Texas will host 2027 Benton, Louisiana QB Malachi Zeigler for an unofficial visit on June 1.

Zeigler was most recently in Austin for the Elite 11 in March, but told me following the camp that he was still waiting to hear more from the Longhorn staff. 

In the month of May alone, Zeigler has picked up offers from Auburn, Wisconsin, Miami, Florida and Tennessee. 

Texas sits with just one offer out to an uncommitted 2027 quarterback at the moment. Zeigler will be one to monitor for the first weekend of June.

When is the Jr camp? I know K. Bryant, Nussmeir and P. Houston are also scheduled to be there to throw in front of Sark/Milwee.

Looks like Sark and Milwee are pushing for QBs that while they’re not true dual threats, are capable of climbing the pocket, extending plays with their legs to find open WRs, and occasionally scrambling to pick up first downs.

Seems very quick but has not yet developed that elite top gear speed.

My bet is on K Bryant for the offer.  He's a 4 tool player and great at the entire 4 tools.  

Very Mahomes-like IMO.

Of course, the other QBs mentioned are very talented as well.

Great footwork, sufficient speed and he can throw it through the eye of any needle he sees on the field at any time.

He's interesting. Not what Sark normally recruits at QB. Much more of a sandlot HS QB that does a lot of things that won't translate in SEC at QB IMO. But a talented athlete for sure ... legit DI in FB and hoops.
