Pete Lammons could play too. A great TE who held the career receptions record at Texas for 15+ years, he even intercepted Joe Namath twice in the Orange Bowl doing double duty as a LB.

Us Older Horns might also remember watching him play in the most astounding Super Bowl of all time, the Namath led Jets beating the heavily favored Colts to win Super Bowl III

Pete Lammons was an all around Texas guy. Too often overlooked.  I would say the same about Sampleton too.
