Point is he’s not the default No. 1 option, which is OK because the Rockets don’t need him to be that guy. 1 Quote

qaertyisthatdude Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago I wonder how KD feels watching OKC win their first title? Sucks that Halliburton had a Colt McCoy moment early in this game because the Pacers were right there with them until that injury happened. 1 Quote
MarkInAustin Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The East's best NBA teams each lost their best player to bad injuries during the playoffs. Hope both those guys heal well. Quote

Uhmm, who do you think will be the #1 offensive option on the rockets over Kevin Durant? I'm sorry but Ray Allen on the heat is not a great comparison. Maybe more like Shaq when he went to Miami. I just don’t think asking 37-year-old Kevin Durant to play more than 35 minutes per game is good for him or the Rockets. I could be wrong, but managing Durant’s minutes so that he’s got gas in the tank for high-leverage possessions in the playoffs is far more important than letting him continue to be what he’s been (36.5 MPG and 26.6 PPG last season in 62 games) and hoping he holds up. Of course they will keep his minutes down in the meaningless regular season, but you gotta be kidding me suggesting Sengun would be the #1 option on offense. He averaged 19 ppg on 54% TS compared to KD averaging 26 ppg at 64% TS. KD is far and away the best offensive player in that roster and got him specifically because they needed a number one option down the stretch of close games. It's not at all like Ray Allen standing on the 3 point line watching prime LeBron James and Dwayne Wade. That's just silly. Quote
