All of these are within 15 minutes of I-10 and 99 in Katy. There are many more great spots, but these were the last ones we hit up before moving away.

Brett's BBQ Shop (near Katy Mills Mall), 

Roegels Barbecue Katy (I-10)

Sapore Detroit Pizzeria (off 99 near I-10)

Sul Bing Su (Korean street food - Korean hot dogs and ice cream)

8 ounce Korean Steakhouse (Korean BBQ)

Lupe Tortilla (Best beef fajitas in TX; Three pepper cheese steak if you're feeling frisky)

Also, not in Katy, but if you want some of the best ribs you have ever had, go to Pinkerton's BBQ. You won't regret the drive. Plus, Owner is a massive Horns fan.
