Bad, he is Paxton's goon and part of the MAGA crowd. First UT President since 1899 to have zero teaching experience. 

Unfortunately, a lot is being done to destroy UT Austin's academic standing because some want to play politics. Extreme politics. There is even a new "Civitas" school being created to teach the benefits of "small government". It's becoming Orwellian in this country.

There's going to be a reputation difference between grads pre and post 2020. Just the reality. As an alumnus, it really sucks to see this dumbing down happening.
