ThatHornsGuy87 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Taking my daughter to a concert there Saturday. I haven't been in 30 years. Need some recommendations on good eats. Thanks! 1 Quote
.45s Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago TIn Top for good burgers. Union Station Diner for good breakfast and lunch and the same for the Buttermilk Cafe. Cooper's and Black's BBQ both have New Braunfels locations. Quote
Shane Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I live in new braunfels,it depends on what you’re looking to eat. The places .45s suggests are good places. Quote
Caver60 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Pat's is still around. Good if you want fried stuff and diner food. Agree with previous suggestions, I'll add a few: Pizza: Callahans is awesome for pizza and pizza rolls. It's a bar downtown, not sure how old your daughter is. Bootlegger's is also good and downtown, too. Seafood: McAdoo's. Also downtown. Pretty good eats. It has a knockoff out on the Loop called The Reel, which is also very good but not as good an atmosphere. Steak: Myron's, also downtown. It's a little drive, but Kindling in Cibolo is excellent, too. American food: Huisache Grill, also downtown. There's another place called Texas Bistro that is really good, too. Burgers: Agree on Tin Top. Some people really like Muck N Fuss, and the atmosphere is awesome there. I prefer the Tin Top burgers, though Mexican: Plenty of choices here but for an out-of-towner I'd recommend La Cosecha. Good atmosphere and some of the menu items are excellent (wagyu fajitas, some of the specials) 1 Quote

Krause's Beer Garden is a decent spot as well if you're down for German fare (sausage, pretzels, etc.). Art House Cakery is THE spot for desserts! Quote

Love that place Nothing beats the San Marcos location, but I'm never mad when we're a little further south and we end up at the New Braunfels spot. Quote

My favorite spot in San Marcos back in the day was Mamacita's. They also had an NB location (where La Cosecha is now, for the person that referenced it), but the San Marcos one is a Buffalo Wild Wings now. RIP Quote

Last time I was at NB Herbert's location saw Cat Osterman dining on the patio so it has that going for it. 1 Quote
