TexMexHorn94 Posted August 25 Posted August 25 (edited) I highly doubt they don’t get a deal done before Saturday, if they don’t I’m glad I still have that antenna in the garage. Edited August 25 by TexMexHorn94 2 Quote

This BS happens every year. I remember when I had direct tv two seasons ago and had to miss the opening weekend on ESPN games and college gameday bc ESPN and Direct tv were in this same dispute. Didn’t think I’d have to deal with it when I switched to YouTube Tv 5 Quote
aggiecutter Posted August 25 Author Posted August 25 Looks like Fox One 7 day free trial is the way to go if the dispute is not resolved. 9 2 Quote
Sarah O Posted August 25 Posted August 25 This always happens with YTTV negotiations and they always seem to work it out. 1 Quote
Sarah O Posted August 25 Posted August 25 (edited) YouTubers usually always stream the games too, if needed. Edited August 25 by Sarah O 2 1 Quote
Texas fan in Georgia Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Anybody got any suggestions on streaming apps that carry fox? I created a thread . Figured it would make it on the message boards sooner or later when the email went out Quote
RiffRaff Posted August 25 Posted August 25 I am a big fan of YouTube TV. But if needed, I will switch to Fubo on Saturday morning. Fubo has FOX and 4K streaming (for games filmed in 4K). 1 Quote

cdemot02 Posted August 25 Posted August 25 According to them just download the Fox one app and it should be fine. Quote

HookemTexas Posted August 25 Posted August 25 I'm expecting the Fox games to be available via the antenna, so I just purchased a $20 one off Amazon. For the rest of the games, assuming an ESPN network, I caved in and got the Disney bundle special for $29.99/mo. for all ESPN unlimited. I figured it was the cheapest route as I don't watch much anything else on any of the streaming networks to make the full cost worthwhile. 1 Quote

Figured it would make it on the message boards sooner or later when the email went out I did a 7-day (I think) free trial of DirecTV Stream. There wasn't anything really wrong with it. I just felt like the interface was easier to use on YTTV. DirecTV Stream had way more channels. People say the video quality is slightly better than YTTV. Its obviously more expensive, but will hold you over until the dispute is over. People see the DirecTV name and get spooked, but the streaming platform is honestly really good. It has regional sports and some other niche channels I used to watch when I still had cable. I would recommend it if you watch a decent amount of TV. Quote

UTexas Posted August 26 Posted August 26 I miss cable. I don’t miss what would’ve been a $200.00+ TV/internet bill. Of course, cable companies got into disputes like this as well. 1 Quote
Tuco Ramirez Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Sounds like another YouTube tv price increase is coming our way. 3 2 Quote

I have found alternative methods to watch the few channels I actually care about. 3 Quote
Itsamystery Posted August 26 Posted August 26 I just signed up for Nufu. $80 for six months with a lot of sports channels. A few other (Discovery, History, Weather, Fox News and Business, CNN etc) as well. They have no DVD and only broadcast in 1080. I finally get what I want without 45 shopping channels. Quote
Burnt Orange Horn Posted August 26 Posted August 26 I hear some games are live broadcast in 4K now. Quote
Califashorn75 Posted August 26 Posted August 26 I will get Fubo Friday if these folks can't get a deal done. Quote
Eric Posted August 26 Posted August 26 (edited) Every game is on regular YouTube for free. Just type in Texas vs Ohio State live before the game. Any game fyi. Edited August 26 by Eric Quote

It's strictly a business decision for them, they do the cost analysis of how many they think will still subscribe and how many they think they'll lose and make their decision on what they think makes them the most money. Basically looking for the sweet spot on price where they maximize revenue. Quote
