I, for one, am not going to sour on Arch (as I have seen many do nationally and locally) after one poor game. We have all seen the talent on display. We saw a few flashes of it yesterday. Our Oline will continue to improve, our RBs will only get stronger, and our WRs (while apparently lacking a true game changer like OSU or Alabama has) have more than enough size and speed to concern 99% of DCs in America. 
I believe we will see considerable improvement over the next 4-5 games.

What's strangely amusing is that we talked about this all off-season. We knew as soon as Arch had an off performance the national media and haters would go nuts. What's strange is that some Texas media and fans are falling into it. I'm sure media guys are doing it for clicks.

Arch hasn't forgotten the fundamentals of footwork and mechanics of throwing. We've already seen that consistently. Competition doesn't change fundamentals. That's why you work fundamentals. He pressed too hard in his first big road start. This is the easiest thing in the world to diagnose.

But lets be honest about yesterday, there is an off performance then there is whatever that was IMO.

If Arch is the qb and leader we think he is, no way this performance sits well with him. I'm excited as to what comes next from him.

Until or unless it's repeated a few times, it's an off performance. We've seen Arch's fundamental footwork and throwing mechanics, and we saw it at times yesterday. That doesn't simply disappear because of half a dozen throws in one game. Given that Arch has been fundamentally sound for years, it seems more likely that this game was the outlier, not the years leading up to it.

I think you missed my point....there is an off performance and whatever that was yesterday was far worse than an off performance.

I get your point. You're saying his performance was worse than off, i.e. really bad to terrible. 17 of 30 with one TD and one INT isn't really bad or terrible. He made six or seven bad throws.

I watched LeNorris Sellers play earlier today and he made more than a dozen bad throws. His team won because they were playing Virginia Tech rather than Ohio State. He won't be blasted in the media or by his fanbase.
