Hashtag Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago We are a 1/4 of the way through the season now. So with how this team has played predict our remaining schedule. I'll go first: 1 2 Quote
DanielOnorato Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I think they win every game the rest of the way. My two biggest worries are Oklahoma and Georgia but Texas defense finds a way. I think mateer will get beaten down against Texas and as much as im disgusted in texas I think many of their opponents have major questions as well. Fortunately I can count on the defense to not only stop teams but set the offense up in solid down and distance. 2 Quote
Joe Zura Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I hate myself because I agree with you. But yet the mods will be like blah blah god help me I agree with you Quote
Bunk Moreland Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I’m not certain we can win any conference games unless the offense shows dramatic improvements. Miss St has been playing really well so far and we play them on the road—we could easily lose that one. Vandy went to Columbia and beat the brakes off South Carolina. That looks like a loss today. 2 Quote
Derek Handler Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago We’ve been passed by aggy and ou. Sucks. Kentucky is only easy win. Every other gene is a toss up with arch and our offense. Quote
birdlaw5895 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago We could just not win any conference games at all the way this offense is playing and the way this “elite pass rush” is headed 1 Quote
JMarquette Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago We got sunshine pumping for 5 months for this lol. 3 Quote

drag worm Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago As of today I’m not sure we beat Kentucky or MSU but agree with the rest. Quote
Shivam Patel Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago OP is wrong we’re beating Florida, OU, and Vandy! Quote

Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted 2 hours ago Moderators Posted 2 hours ago What's funny to me is that when a team doesn't perform well, or up to their talent level, it's always the people that cover a team that are "you guys told us how good team X would be/could be" or "Pumping sunshine" How about some other options too... 1. An entire program (meaning coaches and support staff) are taken aback by the performance. 2. Maybe a coaching staff is not doing their job of maximizing a team. 3. Maybe some players just aren't playing at the level expected, even by a coaching staff. On the topic of Arch specifically ... does anyone think he looks remotely like the QB that played last year in his extended action? Does anyone believe that the Texas staff would be starting him if he looked like he did vs. UTEP on a daily basis in the spring and fall camp? The answers are obviously no. On some level, it's as simple as players and coaches just are under performing to their talent level. Confidence is so key in the equation too. I see an offense that lacks more and more confidence, the more they play right now. Arch has completely lost the swag/confidence that the fan base watched last year. 4 Quote

It's 11 guys just running through motions and not running an offense IMO. These offensive struggles are top down IMO and I don't think they are something that will need to be resolved starting this week with fully open competition including the QB position(include game film in this evaluation, not just practice), completely remove plays that we are just flat out not good at(quit trying to force plays), and simplify everything so that way the young receivers can get involved as well.
