Moderators Blake Munroe Posted March 11 Moderators Share Posted March 11 Movement in the right direction this week in the polls for Texas Baseball.
McCoy2Shipley
Schedule really lightens up the next couple weeks. Need to get weekend rotation figured out desperately. Can't keep having the bullpen log more innings than the starters
Sonny_V
Hope the Horns find some pitching soon... Happy Birthday to the "Tireless" Blake Munroe. The guy that still gets carded at HEB when he buys a six-pack of Corona. 1
Jerry K
I expect we will see a lot of movement, both positive and negative in the polls this season as long as the pitching is so wild. I don’t remember seeing so many Longhorn pitchers miss their target by feet on 3 ball counts. Pretty crazy. I still have faith the pitching staff will improve. The next couple of weeks will tell us a lot where this team could end up come May.
Realist Horn
It has to be related to their good batting record....😆 (no, I won't let you forget it) batting record: noun, when you are thinking batting average and track record, but are not sure which way to go. Haha. Damnit. Track record, batting average. It's all the same!!!

Although it's been a while since I've been carded for sure.

Just need to continue on that upward trajectory, with as little slip ups as possible.

HornPharmD12
We are actually #23 on D1baseball, but I like our team! Just wish we had more than one reliable starting arm. Haven’t seen a Texas team that can hit like this (top to bottom) in a LONG time
Neil Leininger
This team will be as good as the hitting puts up 7+ runs in a game. I am going to guess they will not be winning many Big 12 games unless they score that number.

Gage Boehm has 11 innings pitched, 15 k’s and zero walks. He does have 3 hit batters but he’s the one for me to be the go to pen guy. Grant Fontenot has a lot of talent. It’s almost like all the pitchers are pressing too hard.

I agree they are going to have to out score teams until they can get the arms to have some basic command. Too many cookies and free passes so far. There is still time to get better. They just won a series against what we think is one of the better teams in the conference. Goes without saying issues are a lot easier to correct when they’re winning.
