One of the things that makes being a Texas fan fun

Since the arrival of CDC anyway. Is that almost every sport is competitive and realistically has a chance to make a run at a championship.  Reading Blake's update on baseball, seeing the potential for the basketball teams, softball is in the top 5, volleyball is #2 and expected to make a run, swimming, etc.

It allows for constant entertainment of being able to watch Texas and be invested.  It's different than the days (and schools like for example Kansas) where a fan could only bank on one or two programs to be excited about and then the rest of the year is ho hum.

2005 was probably one of the greatest years in the history of Longhorn sports.  According to Perplexity AI:

My favorite moment also - it was an amazing experience - we were on the 30 yd line right in front of where Young ran it in, about 10 rows up. And the USC fans around us were great too.

BTW I saw this X video in a story about Shohei Ohtani's recent 3 homer / 10 strikeouts game.  The article was comparing Ohtani's feat to the most impressive athletic feats in other sports and Vince's Rose Bowl game was judged the best single game performance by a player in college football history, given the rushing and passing stats, the two TD comeback in the last 6 minutes (Vince had 125 yards in the last two possessions) and the championship game setting.

Anyway, enjoy reliving the memory before our game tomorrow 🙂

That is awesome - thank you for sharing! He was so much fun to watch; you knew we always had a chance as long as he was leading the team. Every time I watch when someone posts the end of the game - it makes me giddy 😊    Hook ‘em
