Some people think he’s a better version of Brock Cunningham. Could he be a bigger version of Timmy Allen? What are your thoughts @Gerry Hamilton

Better all around offensive player ... moves more fluidly on offensive end. Good shooter, but needs time to get off clean looks. Good offensive feel. Eyes up player. Like him offensively in a half court offense.

Defensively, won't bring that level of physicality against bigger players - or hasn't shown that. Moves better on offensive end vs defensive end IMO

We have the roster spots.  They have useful skills, even if neither is an ideal forward or PG.  They could find their minutes reduced if we pick up better players, but unless and until we do, I really hope both return.

Pretty sure they asked about starting positions. Quite certain they were not promised starting. Up to them if they want to or believe they can earn the spots.

Avila this weekend?

Yes and a guard that shot 46% BTA. If you have Avila you can protect him with Shedrick and Garrison. He's probably a slightly more skilled version of Disu. Athletically it is probably a wash because of how Disu couldn't develop himself because of all the injuries.

He’s not more skilled than Disu. Nowhere near as athletic. Side to side movement I agree with. He’s not a proven power five player. I would be happy to have him but he is no starter. The guard is the big fish this weekend.

Count me in as one who wants Tyrese back despite his lack of consistency being a big reason this year's team failed to reach higher.  I just have to believe that he is eventually going to put it all together whether this requires use of a sports psychologist to get his head straight or whatever it is that has kept him back.  As for Mitchell, he should be able to carve out a more balanced offensive role with more work on his shooting and with the addition of our incoming super freshmen guard's ability to penetrate opposing defenses.

Kent is someone to view with a bit of caution.  He put up insanely good numbers as a fourth year junior after having a very pedestrian career for three years.  It looks like he thrived in an offense that was littered with excellent three point shooters and passers, giving him endless opportunities for layups.  To his credit, he made of those, was a great ft shooter, shot from the perimeter well (30/80 .375), and doubled his rebounding rate.  I think he can contribute and doesn't have to be in the paint to score, but I won't be surprised to see him fall far short of 2023-24 numbers.

All due respect to Tyrese Hunter, but we shouldn't be needing a sports psychologist to help unlock someone who has started 106 college basketball games. He is who he is at this point.

I sense the fear is if we let Hunter walk we have to bring in somewhat of an unknown to replace him and that scares some. My viewpoint is it's not that hard to replace the production of a guy who was mostly a league average player at best for 80% of the season.

You may well be right but I would be willing to gamble on him considering our other options.  If we can find a better sure thing then so be it.
