I loved Mack Brown!!!  He turned our program around when we needed it.  But Mack and Greg Davis had limitations.  With the likes of Applewhite and Simms at QB we were a very good 10+ win team, but not a championship caliber team.  It took a VY and Colt to make us a championship caliber team.  They won us games in spite of Mack and Davis’ deficiencies.

I like Sark!!  He turned our program around when it needed it.  Sark is a great face/voice for the program.  Culture and recruiting is where it has needed to be.  But Sark has showed limitations when it comes to “in game” coaching and adjustments.  The question is, does Arch have the ability to win games in spite of Sark’s limitations.  This season I say “no”, but neither did VY or Colt their first year as starters.  I’m hoping, no praying, that Arch has learned and grown enough this year to be that QB next year.  I have seen improvement in him as the year has progressed.

Sark needs to do some self evaluation, and make improvements to become a championship caliber coach.

Mack wasn't really great at coaching football but to his credit he delegated responsibility and usually let his staff do their jobs. (In fact his biggest failures were the occasional times he overstepped). Sark insisting that he be personally in charge of coordinating the offense and making personnel decisions is what has made the wheels come off of the program.
