  1. It was surprising. The week before he said he was staying.
  2. No worries. Baseball fans are in for a treat this week. 😉
  3. Arkansas used to be as big of a rival as anyone. Younger generation of Longhorns fans just don’t realize it because they never experienced it. I’m hoping that returns with the SEC and perhaps we can get a little something going with LSU, too.
  4. He’s at Toledo now. No telling what happened at a franchise like Las Vegas really.
  5. No, I personally don’t. I still don’t know if he’s going to be elevated to primary DL coach with the Texans.
  6. Dan Lanning was at his school yesterday. So the traffic on Terry is only growing.
  7. Josh Gibson, the head coach of Texarkana Pleasant-Grove, tells On Texas Football that Lance Jackson, the 6-foot-6, 245-pound defensive end who committed to Texas on Sunday, is expected be a mid-term enrollee. In other words, if everything goes right, Jackson would join the Longhorns in January of 2025.

  9. What would his hair look like if he stuck his finger in a socket? 😉
  10. The thing that has re-entered the discussion now that Tyreek actually helped usher in is a somewhat renewed emphasis on elite speed by NFL teams. The Dolphins are a really big piece of that with Hill, Waddle, Achane and Mostert. And X has elite speed. Personally, I agree with you. I don't think he's a first rounder because I don't think he tracks the ball well enough downfield. But I don't see him getting past the second round because his speed is as legit as they come.
  11. If they hire Moore, I don't think they could do anything but tip their hat to the guy and wish him well. He just led them to their first national championship in three decades.
  12. Good thought IMO. And I'll add that I prefer Michigan's approach.
  13. He's got plenty of film already and could have entered the draft this year. I think this is more about playing time generally and NIL. I don't see Texas overreaching in either area.
  14. Interesting point about special teams. I'm interested how all the pieces will fit together. Sark won't lack for options. The spring should give us a feel for Cook, how Golden fits, and whether or not Wingo is truly ready to roll or needs more seasoning. Moore is another one where you have to figure where he is on the depth chart and effectiveness level. Lots of moving pieces at WR right now, probably more than any other position.
  15. I really think he's a luxury for Texas at this point. Oregon and Alabama may seem him different strategically. We'll see what he decides to do but, like CJ, I'd lean Oregon at this time based on what I've been told.
  16. Yes. They just would have to come at end of spring semester. And Texas would be interested.
  17. I think the pressure to stay in state and closer to home is too great.
  18. Marsh was invited and chose not to attend. Not sure on Lockett.
  19. This is accurate IMO. Like I said, another corner would be a luxury. Unless, of course, it’s a complete shutdown corner, which is more someone like Johnson than anyone else. Jabbar Muhammad is a really good player but he’s not considered a shutdown corner.
  20. Bob Shipley joins today as well!
  21. I agree with you and I agree with Sark. Getting it right is more important than getting it quickly.
  22. Mock drafts are fun discussion. Hope 4-5 Horns go in the first 2-3 rounds.
  23. I don’t see it. No connection prior to the decommitment.
