  1. Noted comedian Shane Gillis was on campus today. He took a tour of the facility and took pictures with staff / players. The real question: Did he teach an OL clinic? Shane was born a Notre Dame fan with ND winning its last football title the year after he was born. Is Texas now a lock to win a title in the next year or two?

  2. Fun fact: OJ was slated to be the Terminator before James Cameron pulled the plug on that and cast Schwarzenegger. Apparently he didn't think a nice guy like OJ would be believable as a killing machine.
  3. I’m curious which players will transfer out from Texas. I could see a TE or OL but not sure who or what positions will see attrition. Texas has to have at least four or five guys transfer out to get under the scholarship limit.
  4. Wingo has the better measurables but Cooks strength is the polish on his route running and technic. Imo. Im glad we have both guys.
  5. Sanders numbers are concerning. After watching him the past few years and seeing him in person a couple of times there is no way i would have expected to win a bench press competition with him. Do we think he sick, maybe slight injury?
  6. I've seen alot of articles ranking ohio State's roster as the best in college football. Maybe they are just setting up the narrative for Day to be fired if he doesn't win a natty this year
  7. I think 2021 was going to be a rough year due to the 2019 class falling apart, new Qb, lack of talent & depth on the OL, holes at linebacker, and a deep but not elite WR room. Worthy, who was a late addition by Sark had 981 yards and 12 TDs. The second leading WR was J-Witt with 377 yards and 3 TD. Bijan was the third leading receiver. Without Worthy, its likely Texas would have had an even worse season under Herman. Herman would have been fired after a losing season with the program trending negatively and Texas would have been looking for a coach durring arguably the craziest coaching carousel ever. No shot for Riley, Venables, Kelly and Sark. Leaving Cristobal, Napier, or who knows. Glad we have Sark
  8. Yeah, he was my least favorite HC. I didn't want to speak ill against someone or stir up drama. I was more curious about how much credit to assign to the current staff. I know the job comes with a lot resources but it seems like those resources are being used more effectively then in past.
  9. ACC: clemson Big ten: ohion state Big 12: ok state SEC: texas
  10. Texas moved on from Tom Herman after the 2020 season with a combined record of 32-18. Notable accomplishments include and a Big 12 championship game appearance, four bowl wins, 2018 & 2019 3rd ranked recruiting classes. I think most people are aware of why Herman was let go but if Texas had retained Herman how do we think it would have played out? How would he have handled NIL? His recruiting classes suffered substantial attrition. Would that trend of continued? Would he have used the transfer portal to fix the holes in the roster or was the locker room too far gone? Could he have repaired the relationships he needed to in order to be successful at Texas? Are there any key recruits that would be favorably impacted?
  11. To me, the bar for the coming year, much like for the basketball team, is making the playoff. Texas has alot of things working in their favor, returning qb, depth at most positions, manageable schedule. Would love them to make a run in the playoffs but i have to see how they play first. If Sark can keep the momentum, making the playoff should be an annual thing.
  12. Has the university put out a render of what the new logo will look like on campus? Or where the logo will be located? I have seen the renders of the new practice facility and upgrades at the baseball field but nothing about the logo
  13. Any idea why Glasscock moved to Old Miss? Seems like a lateral move but maybe there is a connection.
  14. The real question is whose coattails will A&M ride now that Saban is gone. Maybe Georgia will become the new Alabama, but what if Texas is the program leading the conference. Will they still chant SEC?
